About the role
The Technical Delivery Lead owns end‑to‑end technical delivery of a DoD AI/ML platform, leading migration of containerized workloads from unclassified development to classified production, driving RMF ATO accreditation, and providing day‑to‑day technical leadership for engineering, cyber and subcontractor teams.
About the company
OpenTeams builds AI/ML platforms that let enterprises and governments own, govern, and evolve their own intelligence. Founded by Travis Oliphant, creator of NumPy and SciPy, the company draws on deep open‑source expertise (NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch, Jupyter) to deliver containerized, headless AI solutions for defense and other customers.
Requirements

- 10+ years of software or systems engineering experience, including 5+ years leading delivery teams on DoD or Intelligence Community programs.
- Direct experience taking a system through RMF accreditation to ATO in a DoD or IC environment, owning the body of evidence and engaging with ISSM/ISSO and Authorizing Official staff.
- Hands‑on experience deploying and operating containerized workloads on Kubernetes in classified, air‑gapped or limited‑connectivity environments.
- Experience with classified cloud environments such as AWS Secret or Top Secret regions and low‑to‑high software promotion using cross‑domain solutions.
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps practices for regulated environments: hardened containers, image signing, SBOM generation, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring.
- Experience managing subcontractor technical staff as part of an integrated delivery team.
- Current DoD 8140/8570 qualifying certification (e.g., CISSP, CASP+) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience delivering AI/ML platforms or data‑intensive analytic systems for defense or intelligence mission users (preferred).

- Experience implementing or operating under a continuous ATO (cATO) model, including evidence automation and continuous monitoring pipelines (preferred).
- Experience with multi‑INT data workflows, mission analytics, or decision support systems (preferred).
- Prior work on rapid prototyping or other transactions with defense innovation organizations (preferred).
- Experience integrating third‑party vendor capabilities against a published integration standard or API specification (preferred).
