About the role
The Staff Full‑Stack Engineer will lead end‑to‑end delivery and technical direction for Orum’s real‑time, high‑scale live calling platform, architecting backend services, APIs and authentication systems while mentoring engineers and partnering with product and design to shape the roadmap.

Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with Staff‑level scope (cross‑team technical leadership, strategy, delivery).
- Proven track record owning products/features through full lifecycle—from discovery to deployment and iteration.
- Expertise with TypeScript/Node.js and API development (REST, WebSocket, gRPC) and strong SQL fundamentals with PostgreSQL.
- Hands‑on experience implementing authentication and authorization in production (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, login/session flows, token storage/refresh) in distributed systems.
- Strong product mindset and communication skills; ability to simplify complexity, align stakeholders, and connect technical decisions to user and business impact.
- Cloud infrastructure experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure; familiarity with CI/CD and progressive delivery practices (preferred).
- Experience in telephony, SIP softswitches (e.g., FreeSWITCH) or similar real‑time/event‑driven domains (preferred).
- Familiarity with Orum’s stack: NodeJS with TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform, and FreeSWITCH (preferred).
