About the role

The senior flight test engineer will own and support planning, coordination, execution and reporting for developmental flight testing of the new Fury Group 5 unmanned aircraft, working closely with program leadership, cross‑functional engineers and test range partners to deliver system‑level data and insights.

Requirements

  • 12+ years experience as a test conductor or director for developmental aircraft, weapons or missile systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent engineering experience
  • Extensive experience as a test conductor/director for developmental aircraft, weapon or missile systems
  • Test engineering experience with developmental manned or unmanned aircraft, covering requirements development, test planning, execution and reporting
  • Experience in aero/performance, loads/dynamics, propulsion or electrical engineering
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes and theory with broad application
  • Working knowledge of MIL‑STD‑882E, MIL‑STD‑516C, MIL‑STD‑1553, MIL‑STD‑1760, AS5653 and related standards
  • Expertise with the National Airspace System, restricted airspace and UAS operating rules and regulations
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, organize, schedule and coordinate work phases, and solve complex problems
  • Strong computer and documentation experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on complex engineering tasks
  • Experience with large aircraft development and working with the Department of Defense
  • Willingness to work extended hours as required
  • Ability to travel for test planning and execution
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • Subject to pre‑employment and randomized substance screening
  • Preferred: Experience building software code or scripts using Go, Java, C++, Python, JavaScript or similar languages
  • Preferred: Bias for action – proactively identify and solve problems
  • Preferred: Experience managing individuals or teams of multiple people
  • Preferred: Experience with large UAS development
  • Preferred: Experience working within a Combined Test Force or equivalent
