About the role
The Staff Data Engineer on the IntelliScript data platform will lead technical decisions, design and build scalable data warehouses, lakehouses, and pipelines for healthcare data, guide governance and security, and influence strategy across hybrid environments, working remotely for a US‑based team.

Requirements
- 15+ years experience designing, developing, and testing Data Platform solutions such as warehouses, lakes, and data products
- Expert‑level experience with Databricks and AWS
- Expert‑level experience with relational and non‑relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, DocumentDB)
- Experience managing and standardizing clinical data from structured and unstructured sources
- Experience building and managing solutions on AWS
- Expert knowledge of healthcare standards including FHIR, C‑CDA, and HL7
- Expert knowledge of clinical ontologies including ICD‑10, SNOMED, NDC, LOINC, and RxNorm
- Expert in building data models, data warehouses, and designing data lakes for enterprise and product use cases
- Familiarity designing and building APIs, ETL, and data ingestion processes with supporting tools
- Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, security, monitoring, and release management
- Experience handling large disparate identified and de‑identified data sets from multiple sources
- Experience building and deploying infrastructure as code using Terraform, asset bundles, and GitHub
- Experience collaborating with Data Science teams and building AI‑based solutions
- Demonstrated “let’s find a way to do it” attitude
