Staff Data Analyst, Engine X

About the role

The Staff Product Data Analyst on the Engine X team will own the analytical execution layer for Engine’s corporate charge card, delivering accurate dashboards, reporting frameworks and insights that enable product, finance and leadership to make data‑driven decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance or related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of experience in data analytics or a closely related analytical function with a track record of clean, accurate work.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations and window functions, and hands‑on experience with Snowflake.
• Experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting frameworks using HEX, Looker, Tableau or comparable BI tools.
• High attention to detail and ownership of data accuracy, including documentation and issue flagging.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to non‑technical audiences.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and experiment analysis, including basic statistical reasoning.
• Curiosity about product and business context behind the data.
• Fintech, payments, card product or financial services analytics experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with dbt or experience working with analytics engineering teams is a plus.
