The Sr. Data Engineer will remotely lead a cross‑functional team of data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to design, build, and operate data pipelines and AI solutions for the Department of Homeland Security, translating technical, business, and customer needs into actionable objectives and driving process and cultural improvements.

Requirements

• US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• 10+ years of IT experience designing, analyzing, and implementing large‑scale, complex data architectures.
• Proficiency in data manipulation using Python, R, SQL, or SAS.
• Ability to develop roadmaps linking architectural capabilities to organizational data challenges.
• Hands‑on experience working with developers to deliver solutions and provide customer support.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical solutions to stakeholders at various leadership levels.
• Experience mentoring data engineers, establishing best practices, conducting code reviews, and explaining business value.
• Experience working in Agile environments leveraging advanced design and engineering best practices.
• Experience building data‑driven solutions for business insights, operational decisions, and performance management.
• Knowledge of data management, data architecture, data warehousing, big data tools, data analytics, and data science concepts.
• Experience deploying AWS cloud‑native data and AI technologies.
