The Elementary Special Education Teacher delivers online instruction to K‑12 students with special needs, develops and implements IEPs, collaborates with families and learning coaches, and ensures compliance with state special education requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Active Oklahoma state teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Oklahoma residency
• 0–1 year of related professional experience
• Ability to pass required background check
• Ability to work independently ~40+ hours/week and maintain a professional home office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Ability to collaborate with other teachers to interpret and use student data for instructional decisions
• Receptive to regular coaching from administrators
• Willingness to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
• Desired: experience with the elementary age group
• Desired: experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology
• Desired: experience teaching online (virtual) or in a brick‑and‑mortar environment
• Desired: experience with online learning platforms
