About the role
The Chief Engineer on Anduril’s Space team will act as the technical lead for autonomous satellite and spacecraft missions, defining strategy and roadmaps, driving design‑build‑test‑delivery of hardware and software, and overseeing multi‑disciplinary teams through all program phases to deliver operational on‑orbit capabilities.

Requirements
- Active U.S. Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
- Prior technical experience supporting DoD or IC customers
- Experience architecting, developing and delivering defense/IC satellite and space hardware and software systems
- Experience with high dV spacecraft, dynamic space operations, space‑based sensing and mission operations for surveillance and reconnaissance at multiple orbits
- Understanding of current USSF and IC space systems and mission areas
- Ability to decompose complex systems with competing objectives into executable requirements and deliver them to meet government expectations
- Experience with spacecraft qualification and acceptance testing standards such as GEVS and SMC‑S‑016 (MIL‑STD‑1540)
- Experience with US government space mission areas and associated CONOPS
- Design and development of space vehicle and payload architectures and detailed mission solutions
- Strong technical communication skills for briefings to leadership and customers
- Strong technical fundamentals in space systems, ground infrastructure and product development
