About the role
The Software Engineer, Routing will improve Lyft’s routing engine, build cloud-based services that handle millions of route requests per day, and create data-processing workflows, collaborating with engineering, machine-learning and data-science teams to deliver scalable, high-performance routing solutions.

Requirements
- BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or relevant work experience
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Extensive experience in object-oriented programming, ideally in Go, C++, or Python
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with big data processing/distributed pipelines and tools like Apache Airflow, Flink, and Kafka
- Excellent communication skills with ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate across teams
