About the role

The Site Reliability Engineer will build, operate and scale the cloud infrastructure powering Skydio’s products, owning production Kubernetes/EKS clusters, AWS resources, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, observability and on-call reliability.

About the company

Skydio is the leading U.S. drone company and world leader in autonomous flight, combining AI, hardware and software expertise to deliver autonomous drones for public safety, utilities, national security and other industries.

Requirements

  • Strong AWS fundamentals including VPCs, public/private subnets, networking, load balancers, EKS, IAM, and databases.
  • Production experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure‑as‑code tooling.
  • Experience owning or maintaining CI/CD systems such as Argo CD, Spinnaker, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
  • Experience diagnosing production infrastructure and networking problems.
  • Experience solving meaningful scaling or reliability challenges.
  • Ability to access export‑controlled technical data and meet U.S. person status requirements.
  • Helm and GitOps experience (preferred).
  • Datadog or similar observability tooling (preferred).
  • PostgreSQL/database operations experience (preferred).
  • Multi‑region infrastructure experience (preferred).
  • On‑premises or disconnected deployment experience (preferred).
  • Streaming or high‑throughput distributed systems experience (preferred).
