The Senior Staff Research Scientist, Decision Sciences leads the development of advanced analytics and machine learning solutions, defines independent research agendas, and drives cross‑functional projects that translate raw data into actionable business insights for Epsilon’s marketing platforms.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of linear algebra, probability, statistics, signal processing, detection & estimation, optimization, machine learning and deep learning
  • Proficiency in Python, shell‑scripting, and data‑processing libraries such as NumPy, pandas, SciPy, scikit‑learn
  • Experience with data‑visualization libraries like Matplotlib and Seaborn
  • Ability to write SQL/HiveQL queries to access proprietary datasets
  • Experience with deep‑learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras) for predictive modeling
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software architecture
  • Familiarity with Linux command line and distributed computing/big data processing
  • Ability to use Jupyter notebooks for prototyping and collaboration
  • Experience with version control systems like Git
  • Proficiency in LaTeX for research proposals and technical reports
