About the role
The Documentation Engineer will own the documentation system for TetraScience’s platform, leading the docs‑as‑code foundation and building AI‑augmented workflows, publishing pipelines, and interfaces that enable both human users and AI agents to consume the docs. The role involves tooling development, editorial quality, release‑notes cadence, and enabling internal contributors to produce documentation efficiently.
About the company
TetraScience is a scientific data and AI company building Tetra OS, an operating system for scientific intelligence. It helps leading life‑sciences firms turn fragmented data into AI‑native assets and workflows, and partners with NVIDIA, Databricks, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Snowflake, Google and Microsoft.
Requirements
- 5+ years owning documentation tooling, content engineering, or developer documentation for a developer‑platform or enterprise B2B product
- Engineering ability in a scripting or web stack (Python, TypeScript, JavaScript) with fluency in docs‑as‑code: Git, pull‑request review, CI/CD, and static‑site or CMS publishing pipelines
- Hands‑on experience building AI‑augmented or LLM‑backed workflows, integrating LLM APIs and AI‑assisted authoring
- Ability to read and reason about codebases and API surfaces to document accurately and build tooling
- Strong editorial judgment to translate dense engineering changes into clear, customer‑safe documentation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Preferred: Experience making documentation consumable by AI agents (llms.txt, content negotiation, RAG pipelines, MCP servers)
- Preferred: Experience in BioPharma or scientific software, or regulated and validated (GxP) environments
- Preferred: Experience generating reference docs from OpenAPI or related specifications with two‑way Git sync
- Preferred: Developer‑relations or developer‑education exposure
