Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer you will join the core engineering team building the next generation of Trolley’s flagship product, collaborating with Product, Data and other engineers to enhance critical features, scale the platform and shape its architecture.

Trolley is a payouts platform for the internet economy, building a global payouts ecosystem that lets businesses reach creators, on‑demand workers and suppliers worldwide via a powerful API. It powers payouts for companies like Canva, SoundCloud and Envato, having processed millions of payments globally.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL
• Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude AI and Cursor (strongly preferred)
• Experience with large integrated systems, external dependencies, web services and APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Experience with core AWS services (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Solid experience with software development lifecycles and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong collaboration ability
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to assess alternatives, risks and benefits
• Proven ability to prototype, seek feedback and iterate quickly
• Demonstrated ownership and pride in software quality
