Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software/systems engineering experience, including experience in a technical team lead capacity.
• Demonstrated success leading large‑scale modernization/transformation programs.
• Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles.
• Hands‑on expertise across AWS and Azure, including multi‑cloud and hybrid‑cloud architecture and design.
• Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code and automation tools: Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with application security testing tools such as Veracode, and security‑driven architecture practices.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Excellent communication, mentorship, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or equivalent.
• Experience integrating AI/ML tooling into engineering workflows or platform capabilities.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk).
• Background in regulated or enterprise environments with formal change management and compliance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, balance, and effectively advance multiple competing priorities in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to interact professionally and collaboratively with teammates, clients, and business partners.
• Desire to challenge and educate yourself to support and advance IT services delivery in Federal agencies.
• Excellent judgment and creative problem‑solving skills.
• Respond to team member and client requests via email, MS Teams, or other communication means during core business hours.
• Active listening skills to understand clients' needs, and collaboration skills to work with other developers and designers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
