About the role
You will join a senior software engineering team that owns Stack’s core robotics middleware (Clockwork), the vehicle operating system (StackOS), and the onboard portion of Deploy Manager, designing, implementing, testing, and deploying features that enhance the performance, usability, and reliability of the safety‑critical self‑driving platform across vehicles, simulation, cloud, and HIL environments.

Requirements
- Strong C++ development experience (required).
- Some Python experience (highly preferred).
- Expert knowledge of software engineering and algorithm design principles.
- Significant experience developing high‑performance software for resource‑constrained, safety‑critical applications.
- Expert‑level understanding of Linux and building Linux distributions using Yocto.
- Strong understanding of the POSIX programming environment, Linux, and concurrent programming.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Comfortable working with and debugging embedded systems.
