About the role

The Senior Software Engineer, DevOps designs, builds and operates scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and automation for Unite Us products, partners with engineering teams to improve CI/CD, observability and security, mentors engineers, and participates in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering or DevOps roles.
  • Experience designing, implementing and supporting cloud‑native infrastructure and automation solutions.
  • Proven success driving infrastructure standardization, platform improvements, tool consolidation and technical debt reduction.
  • Experience implementing security best practices such as IAM, network security, secrets management, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening.
  • Experience operating and supporting highly available production systems in cloud environments.
  • Experience with incident response, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency with command‑line tools, Linux‑based systems and Git.
  • Experience developing and maintaining scripts or automation using Python, Bash or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with a range of cloud and DevOps technologies, with deep expertise in one or more.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
