Senior ServiceNow Engineer

The Senior ServiceNow Software Engineer leads the design and delivery of robust, scalable ServiceNow solutions, creates technical design documents, builds integrations and custom applications, mentors team members, manages project risks, and collaborates with stakeholders to ensure secure, performant enterprise outcomes.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in ServiceNow platform development, including client‑ and server‑side scripting (Business Rules, UI Actions, Script Includes, UI Policies), custom application development, Flow Designer, and performance optimization
• Experience architecting and building REST/SOAP integrations, designing tables/data structures for scoped applications, and debugging complex integrations
• Proficiency in designing modular, reusable components (e.g., Script Includes, subflows, custom UI components) and following modern UI/UX patterns
• Proven ability to lead small‑to‑medium enhancements or projects end‑to‑end, manage risks, and serve as a technical point of contact
• Solid understanding of ServiceNow best practices for security (ACLs, secure authentication), change management, and instance health
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to lead demos, clarify requirements, and influence design decisions
• 5+ years of progressive ServiceNow development experience in an enterprise environment
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or equivalent foundational certification; CAD or other advanced certifications are a plus
• Experience with advanced integrations (e.g., Okta, Workday, identity/access platforms) (nice to have)
• Hands‑on work with AI capabilities (e.g., NowAssist) (nice to have)
• Experience setting up a Slack integration beyond the spoke connection (nice to have)
