Job description

About the role

The Senior RF Engineer will own the development of critical wireless subsystems from concept through mass production, acting as the RF architecture expert, making key component decisions, defining verification and test procedures, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with mechanical, firmware, and software teams to deliver high‑performance solutions on schedule.

About the company

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base, designing and manufacturing high‑performance unmanned systems that are combat‑tested, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. The culture is fast, hands‑on, and focused on extreme ownership to close the gap between design and deployment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master of Science (MSEE) highly preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience in RF hardware design for commercial or industrial products
  • Proven expertise using RF simulation software (e.g., ADS, HFSS) for PCB, antenna, and fixture design
  • In‑depth knowledge of RF system architecture, radio standards, and component selection trade‑offs
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and mentoring other engineers
  • Strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT)
  • Advanced degree (MSEE) focused on RF/Microwaves or Electromagnetics (preferred)
  • Direct experience designing and simulating custom antennas for embedded systems (preferred)
  • Experience with DFM/DFT and working directly with contract manufacturers to ramp production (preferred)
  • Experience debugging complex system‑level issues such as RF desensitization, coexistence, and EMI/EMC mitigation (preferred)
  • Proficiency developing automated RF test frameworks using Python or similar tools (preferred)
