About the role

The Senior Platform Engineer, Data will own platform and developer‑experience systems for reliable, scalable data pipelines and tooling, lead the migration to Dagster, enhance dbt and Databricks infrastructure, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience building, shipping, and supporting software in production
  • Experienced Python engineer who has built and operated systems on AWS, including internal tools and complex job orchestration with Dagster or Airflow
  • Owned features from idea to production, including design, implementation, testing, and ongoing improvements
  • Deployed and operated cloud infrastructure with infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Terraform) and contributed to CI processes
  • Used and contributed to AI tooling that supports developer productivity, code quality, and engineering best practices
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast‑paced environments where priorities evolve
  • Bias toward action, able to make progress with imperfect information while maintaining high quality
  • Curious and driven to understand how things work and share knowledge
  • Energized by learning new technologies, improving systems, and helping teammates grow
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as unit tests, code reviews, and design documentation
  • Experience building internal tools and systems

  • Experience as a data or platform engineer in a modern data stack environment, ideally in a fast‑moving early‑stage or growth‑stage company (preferred)
  • Hands‑on experience with Databricks or Snowflake (preferred)
  • Built, deployed, and maintained dbt at scale (preferred)
  • Prior experience working in healthcare or health tech (preferred)
