About the role
The Senior Lead Network Engineer II will lead the evaluation, design, implementation and maintenance of a large‑scale wired and wireless network for the NPS environment, working with government personnel, internal stakeholders and vendors to deliver secure, reliable infrastructure, conduct testing, vulnerability assessments and provide training.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related field.
- Strong documentation skills, including updating JIRA tickets, wiki pages and network diagrams.
- Ability to communicate with end users, cross‑organizational staff and technical assistance centers.
- CWNA certification or equivalent.
- BCNE certification or equivalent.
- Experience with RF site survey tools such as Ekahau, RF scanners and Wireshark.
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing (VLANs, 802.1w, OSPF, VRRP).
- Strong knowledge of network security (802.1x, MAC authentication, ACLs, RADIUS, Certificate Authority).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for RF and LAN issues.
- Working knowledge of Linux, Windows Server 2013, VMware, etc.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years experience creating, implementing and testing disaster recovery plans.
- Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessment and testing.
- Experience with cyber threat information collection and analysis.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum project management methodologies.
- Additional industry certifications or licences (preferred).
