The Senior Java Developer will lead design and development of enterprise software using Java and Cursor AI, providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, defining architecture and roadmaps, and implementing cloud‑native microservices, CI/CD, and infrastructure‑as‑code while collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver performant, secure systems.

Requirements
- 12+ years professional software development experience within a Java framework (Spring)
- 8+ years experience with architecture and design
- 6+ years experience in open‑source frameworks
- 4+ years experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
- Ability to design, perform experiments, and influence engineering direction and product roadmap
- Experience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to production
- Effective use of Cursor AI
- Track record of publications in credible conferences and journals
- Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
- In‑depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Experience solving analytical problems with quantitative approaches
- Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment
- Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle
- Fluency with at least two modern languages such as Java, C++, Python or C# and object‑oriented design
- Experience with microservices‑oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs
- Experience building architecture and design (patterns, reliability, scaling) of new and existing systems
- Fluency in DevOps concepts, cloud architecture, and Azure DevOps operational framework
- Experience leveraging PowerShell scripting
- Experience with Azure Portal operational portals
- Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments
- In‑depth knowledge of datacenter structure and Azure native services
- Experience with security protocols and products including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth
- Experience with Azure Network (subscription, security zoning, etc.)
