About the role
The Senior Databricks Engineer/Architect will work remotely (with up to 25‑30% travel) to design, build, and support modern data solutions on Databricks and cloud platforms, acting in a hands‑on, client‑facing capacity on large‑scale data engineering and architecture initiatives.

Requirements
- Strong hands‑on experience with Databricks
- Proficient in Python and/or SQL
- Experience with Apache Spark/PySpark
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
- Understanding of Data Lake/Lakehouse architecture
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data platforms
- Data modeling and performance tuning expertise
- Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
- Strong communication and client‑facing skills
- Experience working in production data environments
- Preferred: Databricks certification
- Preferred: Experience with enterprise or government projects
- Preferred: Designing data platforms or lakehouse solutions
- Preferred: Existing Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass a federal background check
- Willingness to travel as needed
