About the role

The Senior Data Platform Engineer will own and evolve SentiLink’s data infrastructure that powers its fraud detection products. Working remotely from the US, the engineer will design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines, storage, and observability, collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering or a related field
  • Proficient in Python or Go and related technologies/frameworks
  • Expertise building and maintaining large‑scale ETL/ELT pipelines using distributed processing technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka or similar
  • Hands‑on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Deep understanding of database technologies including PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, vector DBs, columnar stores, and experience writing efficient queries and optimization techniques
  • Experience building enterprise‑grade, scalable, containerized data services on Kubernetes or similar platforms
  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure‑as‑Code and DevOps practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, interpersonal skills and a sense of humor
  • Self‑organized, able to work independently and handle ambiguity
  • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile development environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside in the United States
