About the role

The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design, development, and governance of ELT pipelines and data models, mentor an analytics engineering team, and collaborate with senior management, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable analytical solutions in a fully remote setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or related field
  • 7+ years experience in data and analytic engineering with increasing responsibilities
  • Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Talend, DataFlow, ADF, or AWS Glue
  • Experience with CI/CD, Terraform, or DevOps
  • Snowflake data processing experience with Tasks, Procedures, DBT, and Git
  • Experience building API data ingestion pipelines using Python in a cloud service
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑department collaboration
  • Ability to evaluate and implement data integration technologies and tools
  • Ability to implement data quality monitoring, cleansing, validation, and enrichment processes
  • Ability to work with analytics teams to define data requirements and create data quality frameworks
  • Ability to foster a data‑driven culture and promote data insights for business decisions
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise reporting and analysis tools, SQL, and visual analytics applications
  • Fluency in SQL, DBT, and Snowflake
  • Strong sense of ownership, bias for action, and drive
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 3 years experience in health care and health plan data analysis
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms is a plus
  • Some development experience in at least one scripting language (Python, R, etc.) is a plus
