Senior Data Engineer II, Finance

About the role

The Senior Data Engineer II, Finance joins the Data Infrastructure team to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and models that support finance, accounting, billing, and revenue processes. The role owns critical integration pipelines for monthly/quarterly close, retailer invoicing and financial reporting, working closely with stakeholders and driving the finance data strategy.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience in data/software engineering building data pipelines, especially financial data
• Strong knowledge of cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Proficiency with Python, Airflow, Spark, Iceberg, Delta Lake in production
• Expert in data modeling of complex financial data with scalability and usability in mind
• Expert in SQL and dbt (Data Build Tool)
• Experience building high‑quality complex ETL/ELT pipelines for accounting/billing purposes
• Experience with data immutability, auditability, slowly changing dimensions or similar concepts
• Excellent communication with cross‑functional stakeholders to define requirements and shared datasets
• Ability to balance urgency with high‑quality pragmatic solutions
• Experience working with large codebases on cross‑functional teams
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Preferred: Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow
• Preferred: Experience with SOX‑controlled data systems
