Job description

About the role

The Senior Data Engineer will join a team of data engineers working closely with data scientists to build the next‑generation Ad Engage data pipeline that measures and optimizes advertising effectiveness, handling massive data sets using AWS, Airflow, DBT and Snowflake.

About the company

EDO is a TV outcomes company that provides a measurement platform linking TV airings to ad‑driven consumer behaviors, helping advertisers maximize impact, optimize creative performance, and assess impression value across linear and streaming. Headquartered in New York and Los Angeles with an office in San Francisco, EDO serves brands, agencies, networks, streamers and studios with syndicated, investment‑grade data and operates a hybrid work policy.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of data engineering experience and at least 3 years hands‑on with cloud data platforms (preferably Snowflake or Redshift)
  • Strong working knowledge of data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift), AWS cloud services, and ETL tools such as Airflow and DBT
  • Proven production experience building complex, scalable data pipelines that prioritize data quality and handle poor‑quality sources
  • Expertise with orchestration tools (Airflow preferred) and dbt, including pipeline design, scheduling strategies, and failure recovery
  • Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization, performance tuning, data modeling, and schema design
  • Proficiency in a scripting language, preferably Python
  • Ability to work independently on loosely defined projects, gather requirements, balance engineering constraints with business needs, and deliver to production
  • Bonus: experience with TV or advertising data
  • Bonus: familiarity with data security, privacy, handling PII, and compliance‑driven pipelines
  • Bonus: exposure to data clean‑room concepts and platforms like LiveRamp, Snowflake or Databricks
  • Bonus: exposure to identity/entity resolution or householding concepts
  • Bonus: strong understanding of software engineering best practices
