Job description
About the role
The Senior Counsel will be a foundational member of the legal function reporting to the Chief Business Officer, owning the corporate legal infrastructure, managing the outside‑counsel network, and partnering with finance, engineering and commercial teams on deal‑making, project finance and corporate governance.
About the company
Antora Energy delivers affordable, reliable energy to industry, data centers and the grid using thermal batteries that convert low‑cost electricity into always‑on heat and power, avoiding supply‑constrained minerals and long construction timelines. The climate‑tech company emphasizes a mission‑first, diverse and collaborative culture and is scaling toward Series C.
Requirements
- 8+ years of legal experience with a top‑tier law firm foundation and meaningful in‑house experience at a growth‑stage company
- Energy transition, infrastructure or power background—experience with project development, power generation, high‑capex infrastructure, construction contracts or related regulatory frameworks (major plus)
- Breadth across corporate legal domains including governance, commercial contracts, LLC/operating agreements, IP, litigation, employment, compliance and vendor management
- Hardware/climate‑tech/energy exposure such as high‑capex manufacturing, construction contracts or supply‑chain agreements (strong differentiator)
- Financial discipline in managing legal spend: running RFPs, negotiating fee arrangements, evaluating outside‑counsel performance and deciding insource vs outsource
- AI fluency: active use of AI tools in legal practice or involvement in AI governance, risk frameworks or adoption strategy
- Poise and autonomy to thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with minimal oversight and ability to build trust in an engineering‑driven culture
