The Senior Azure Engineer works remotely to design, deploy, and operate large‑scale, secure Azure cloud platforms, owning the full cloud engineering lifecycle and collaborating with development, security, and SRE teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and compliant cloud‑native solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on Microsoft Azure in production
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure core services (compute, storage, networking, identity, PaaS)
  • Production experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
  • Experience designing and operating Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters at scale
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python
  • Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability for distributed workloads
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (preferred)
  • Experience operating hybrid or multi‑cloud environments spanning Azure and on‑premises (preferred)
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd on AKS (preferred)
  • Exposure to FinOps practices and cloud cost‑management tooling (preferred)
  • Experience with regulated environments such as HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP (preferred)
