Senior Analytics Engineer

The Senior Analytics Engineer will build the foundation of Vanta’s analytics function, partnering with data science and business stakeholders to design scalable data models, write high‑performance SQL, improve data infrastructure, enable AI tooling, and help expose analytical data via front‑end applications.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience working with data and 2+ years in software engineering or a related field
• Proficiency with analytics tooling; dbt required plus experience with Stitch/Fivetran, Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, Airflow, Dagster, Looker/Mode/Sigma
• System‑oriented, software‑engineering mindset to build data frameworks and minimize bespoke queries
• Deep knowledge of crafting dimensional and fact models in modern data architectures
• Passion for enhancing the developer experience of data and empowering data users across the company
• Desire to lead industry standards in security, anonymization and compliance management for data warehousing
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
• Open to using AI to amplify skills, with curiosity and sound judgment in responsible AI application
