About the role
The Senior Analytics Engineer will own and improve Twilio’s R&D analytics data layer by designing trusted data models, ensuring data quality, investigating anomalies, and collaborating with product and engineering teams. The role also mentors analysts and establishes best practices for modeling, testing, documentation, and code review.

Requirements
- 4‑5 years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong expertise in SQL and hands‑on experience designing data models and orchestrating pipelines with AWS Glue or similar technologies
- Proven ability to partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to codify, document, and reconcile critical business metrics
- Track record of owning ambiguous projects from start to finish with minimal guidance
- Strong technical communication and mentorship skills for diverse audiences
- Remote role (not eligible for hire in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA) and occasional travel may be required
- 5+ years experience in analytics engineering or BI in a B2B SaaS environment (preferred)
- Expertise in Python and distributed computing technologies such as Hive, Presto, and Spark (preferred)
- Experience with dashboarding tools like Looker or Tableau (preferred)
- Implementation of robust data quality and testing frameworks, including dbt tests, CI/CD, and data observability (preferred)
- Experience evangelizing data culture and best practices in fast‑paced tech organizations (preferred)
