Senior AI/ML Engineer (remote within the U.S.) who designs and implements conversational‑search AI for medical content, collaborates with research, engineering and product teams, and ensures ethical, fair and reliable AI delivery across UnitedHealth Group businesses.

Requirements
- Graduate degree in computer science or a related field
- 4+ years of hands‑on AI/ML experience with a focus on natural language processing and language models
- 3+ years of experience with libraries such as LangChain, OpenAI API, Hugging Face Transformers or similar for fine‑tuning and integrating LLMs
- Experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen, Bedrock, Vertex AI) demonstrated by contributing to modular, scalable AI agent projects
- Experience deploying agentic systems in production with scalability, reliability and performance
- Experience with reinforcement‑learning training for language models
- Experience collaborating on software projects using GitHub
- Evidence of AI/ML research through peer‑reviewed publications or technical reports and incorporation of recent NLP and agentic advances into product projects
