About the role

The Senior Data Engineer owns and evolves AMM’s enterprise data platform—including Snowflake, dbt, and supporting technologies—designs and optimizes ELT pipelines, ensures data quality and compliance, and partners with business and IT stakeholders; the role reports to the VP of IT.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, and large‑scale integration solutions
  • 3+ years hands‑on experience with Snowflake and dbt
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for building data pipelines and automation
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, enterprise architecture, ELT best practices, data quality, governance, and performance optimization
  • Experience with cloud data platforms, especially AWS services such as S3, ECS, and Lambda
  • Experience with automation tooling like Terraform and source‑control/CI‑CD practices (preferred)
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster (preferred)
  • Experience in a healthcare, MSO, IPA, medical group, health plan, or other HIPAA‑regulated environment (preferred)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills; ability to make independent technical decisions
  • Experience with structured change management, release management, and IT governance processes
  • Work authorization for the United States required
