About the role

The Project Controls Scheduler – Electric Distribution (Primavera P6) will develop, maintain, analyze and report detailed schedules for major electric utility distribution capital programs, working with project managers, engineers, construction teams and client stakeholders across planning, engineering, procurement, construction and closeout phases, often supporting multiple projects in a fast‑paced utility environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 4+ years experience in project controls, scheduling, construction management, or capital project delivery.
  • Hands‑on experience with Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of schedule development, activity sequencing, logic ties, critical path analysis, progress measurement, schedule updates, and variance reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze schedule data and communicate findings clearly to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, construction teams, contractors, project controls personnel, and client representatives.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work at client and project locations as required.
  • Experience supporting electric utility distribution projects or capital programs (preferred).
  • Experience with distribution feeders, substations, system improvements, reliability, capacity, asset replacement, or other electric distribution infrastructure (preferred).
  • Experience supporting projects through engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout (preferred).
  • Experience with cost tracking, forecasting, or integrated project controls reporting (preferred).
  • Utility client or consulting experience (preferred).
