About the role

The Contracts Management Principal leads the end-to-end contract lifecycle for large-scale data center construction and operational services, driving RFx processes, drafting, negotiating, executing and administering contracts with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants while managing risks and disputes.

Fleet Data Centers designs, builds and operates mega-scale data center campuses, offering in-house design, engineering and operational capabilities to deliver 500MW+ facilities for large cloud and AI customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, construction management, legal studies, contract law, business law or supply chain
  • 5‑7 years commercial/transactional contracts management experience including drafting, negotiation, execution and administration
  • 3+ years strategic sourcing or procurement experience
  • 1+ year experience with a hyperscaler and/or data center developer/operator
  • Experience in fast‑paced, large‑scale infrastructure or data center projects
  • Proficiency with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational, analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management tools, data analytics and BI tools
  • Knowledge of sustainability and social responsibility in supply chain
  • Advanced degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Experience with construction/services contracting fee structures such as GMP, NTE, Cost‑Plus, Time & Materials, Design‑Build etc. (preferred)
  • Experience managing construction claims (preferred)
  • Proven track record implementing process improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence (preferred)
  • Demonstrates integrity and ethical standards
  • Effective written and verbal communication, including presentations to senior leadership
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to manage emotions under pressure
  • Strategic thinking aligned with organizational goals
  • Critical thinking and innovative problem solving
  • Data‑driven analytical ability to assess costs and risks
  • Strong influence and persuasion skills to secure favorable agreements
