About the role

The role is a platform/DevOps engineer who will design, build and operate internal platforms, tooling and shared services on Azure Kubernetes, focusing on developer experience, reliability, automation and scalable infrastructure to support multiple product teams.

Airspace Link is a fast‑growing Series B startup that provides FAA‑approved software for drone airspace management, offering LAANC and B4UFLY safety checks and acting as an air‑traffic‑control system for drones across cities, states, federal agencies and private industry.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience/education
  • 4+ years professional software engineering experience on production SaaS platforms or distributed systems (DevOps, Cloud Engineering)
  • Experience operating production systems in a cloud environment (Azure preferred)
  • Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (AKS or similar)
  • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred)
  • CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions or similar)
  • Strong Linux troubleshooting skills
  • Experience supporting production applications and diagnosing incidents
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively with software engineers and assist with deployments
  • Ability to implement best practices and mentor engineers across multiple teams
  • Strong teamwork and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a greenfield industry
  • Experience with Azure networking and IAM concepts (preferred)
  • Experience with containerized applications (Docker) (preferred)
  • Experience with PostgreSQL operations or performance considerations (preferred)
  • Experience with observability tooling (metrics, logs, tracing, monitoring) (preferred)
  • Scripting or programming skills (Bash, Python, or Go) (preferred)
  • Experience improving reliability, automation, or operational processes (preferred)
  • UAS Part 107 or other pilot’s license a plus (preferred)
