About the role
This position is a Functional Safety Systems Engineer on Ford’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) team, leading the development and integration of safety work products for features like BlueCruise, while collaborating across systems, hardware, software and verification teams to deliver safe, compliant ADAS solutions.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related field (or foreign equivalent) or equivalent experience/education
- Minimum 5 years experience in Functional Safety
- Minimum 5 years experience with products in mass production
- Minimum 2 years experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
- Master’s degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent (preferred)
- Up to 10 years experience in Functional Safety (preferred)
- 5+ years automotive product development experience (preferred)
- 2+ years experience with SysML / MagicDraw (preferred)
- 2+ years experience developing automotive sensors (cameras, radars) and ECUs (preferred)
- 2+ years experience developing and conducting laboratory and vehicle tests, gathering and analyzing data (preferred)
