About the role
The Maritime Technical Operations Engineer on the Field Operations‑Maritime Technical Operations team will globally deploy, install, support and sustain Anduril’s autonomous underwater vehicle platforms, act as product expert, troubleshoot, train customers and feed back insights to engineering.

Requirements
- 5+ years experience operating at‑sea robotic systems, preferably in customer support.
- Quick learner able to adapt in fast‑paced environment.
- Extensive hands‑on technical experience in field operations, manufacturing or test.
- Strong problem‑solving aptitude at the hardware‑software‑networking interface in unstructured environments.
- Ability to turn vague technical problems into clear resolutions.
- Proficient in AUV maintenance, operations, troubleshooting and repair.
- Comfortable with Linux command line and software debugging.
- Strong computer and documentation skills.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented with strong communication and customer‑management abilities.
- Ability to lift 50 lb.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
- Willingness to travel and support customer operations for 30‑45+ day OCONUS rotations.
- Ability to obtain and pass U.S. Coast Guard Medical Certificate and meet DFARS/DoDI health requirements.
- Eligibility for U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Subject to pre‑employment and random substance screening.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, ocean engineering or related field, or comparable experience (preferred).
- Prior military or overseas contracting experience (preferred).
- Ability to deploy overseas and support in hazard zones (preferred).
- Skill with deck operations using ship‑based cranes, A‑frames or AUV launch/recovery systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and test equipment (preferred).
- Experience training and qualifying users or junior staff (preferred).
- Software development experience (preferred).
- Expertise integrating subsea acoustic sensors, navigation and communication systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of offshore HSE policies and best practices (preferred).
