About the role

The role is an early‑career Mechanical Engineer on the Re:Build Optimation team, responsible for designing and developing mechanical machine components and assemblies, creating SolidWorks 3D models and 2D drawings, performing calculations and analysis, maintaining documentation, participating in design reviews, supporting HSE initiatives and collaborating with vendors, clients and other teams, with occasional site travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–5 years of machine design experience with exposure to industrial automation (custom tooling, robots, servos, position‑ or presence‑sensing equipment); recent graduates with relevant internship/co‑op experience considered.
  • At least 1 year of SolidWorks experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and mathematical skills (statistics, algebra, calculus).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including for non‑technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in English and ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs and similar documentation.
  • Strong commitment to safety and proactive hazard recognition.
  • Experience with SolidWorks FEA and CFD tools (preferred).
  • EIT certification or progress toward a P.E. license (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma or similar quality/continuous improvement systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Deltek Vision), OSHA regulations, or additional languages (preferred).
