Ingénieur Data / Data Engineer

About the role

The Data Engineer will join the MongoDB and Kafka squad for an investment‑bank client, delivering data‑engineering solutions across the full project life cycle. Working in an agile, globally‑distributed environment, the role involves designing and enhancing MongoDB databases and Kafka clusters, building tooling for SingleStore, handling DBA tasks, ensuring security and scalability, and providing Level 2 on‑call support.

Requirements

• 3–5 years experience in data or database engineering
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with SingleStore
• Basic knowledge of MongoDB and/or Kafka
• Familiarity with other databases (plus)
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices (plus)
• Experience with version control tools such as Git (plus)
• Strong integrity, ownership, and teamwork attitude
• Ability to work under time and resource constraints
• Skill in identifying simple, effective solutions
• High motivation to continuously expand technical and business knowledge
• Must be authorized to work in Canada full‑time and be located in Montreal
