About the role
The Flutter Engineer will join the external apps engineering team to build and maintain Hudu’s iOS and Android mobile app and develop Dart console applications for the Radar product, including Windows services that use native APIs. The role involves integrating with RESTful Rails APIs, collaborating with product, design and engineering, contributing to code reviews and architecture decisions, and improving platform performance and reliability.

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience developing software with Dart and Flutter
- Strong understanding of Flutter conventions, including Riverpod state management, widget architecture and building for both iOS and Android
- Proven experience building and maintaining a production Flutter/Dart mobile app
- In‑depth experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Proven experience translating UI/UX designs into responsive, user‑friendly mobile interfaces
- Proficient in Git for version control
- Ability to write clean, well‑tested, maintainable code
- Proficient in modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Collaborative and communicative with a focus on teamwork and problem‑solving
- Open to constructive feedback and active participation in code reviews
- Excellent time‑management skills with ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Eager to learn, grow and ask questions when needed
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Experience with FFI or calling native Windows APIs from Dart (preferred)
- Experience with Windows installer tooling such as WIX or Inno Setup (preferred)
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and Hotwire (Stimulus.js and Turbo) (preferred)
- Experience with C or C++ (preferred)
