About the role
The Fire Alarm Technician Journeyman installs, inspects, tests, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and checks out fire alarm and critical life‑safety systems on commercial and multifamily sites, following codes, company procedures and engineering drawings while reporting to the Project Foreman.

Requirements
- Prior experience installing, maintaining and repairing fire alarm systems in commercial or industrial settings or directly related experience
- Solid understanding of fire alarm codes, standards and regulations including NFPA 72 and relevant building and fire codes
- Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics and technical manuals for fire alarm equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
- NICET II certification
- State or local fire alarm licensing where applicable (preferred)
