Facilities Specialist (Data Center)

About the role

The Facilities Specialist acts as the contract, vendor and project‑coordination hub for SpaceXAI’s massive AI training campus in Memphis, handling procurement, bidding, contractor walk‑downs, work‑order and spend reporting, and managing service contracts for building and grounds operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in facility vendor and contract management.
• Experience managing facilities on a large campus, industrial site or similar environment.
• Familiarity with space planning procedures and operations.
• Proficiency with computer applications and ability to navigate multiple software programs.
• Ability to create and update RFPs/RFPOs and facilities work orders in an ERP or CMMS.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to make independent judgments with limited information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for relaying data to employees, vendors and customers.
• Logical and strategic problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to read and understand basic floor plans.
• Comfortable working in a high‑stress environment juggling several projects and adapting to abrupt strategic changes.
• Based at the Memphis, TN campus.
• Flexible schedule; ability to work extended hours and weekends as operational needs dictate.
• Willingness to work outdoors in heat, cold or rain.
