About the role
The Environmental Field Technician will support a high‑profile, large‑scale construction project in Lower Manhattan (or from a Long Island office) by collecting field data, handling and documenting material disposal, conducting air, water, asbestos and lead monitoring, operating remedial equipment and collaborating with Langan’s multidisciplinary site team.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- HAZWOPER Certification with annual physical, respirator fit test and 8‑hour recertification as required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Minimum 2 years related experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi‑task effectively
- Excellent analytical and judgment capabilities
- Ability to work well individually and within groups
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Availability to work day (7 am–3 pm) or evening (3 pm–11 pm) shifts
- Ability to travel to various job sites in Lower Manhattan and spend most of the workday on‑site
