About the role

The role is a hands‑on engineering manager for the Browser Run product, responsible for the team, roadmap, reliability, commercial mechanics and external representation, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager for AI Agents Tooling & Platform and collaborating with product, developer relations and platform teams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years managing engineering teams with a solid hands‑on engineering background
  • Proven record of shipping products with an engineering team
  • Experience owning a production service end‑to‑end, including on‑call rotation, capacity planning and incident review
  • Demonstrated experience growing engineers through promotions and mentorship
  • Hands‑on familiarity with browser automation (Chrome DevTools Protocol, Puppeteer or Playwright) or browser internals
  • Strong technical grounding in distributed systems, web platform fundamentals (HTTP, JavaScript execution, rendering) or cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to partner with Product Management to set and defend a roadmap
  • Excellent written communication for internal and public‑facing technical content
  • Experience hiring: crafting job descriptions, conducting interview loops and closing candidates
  • Bonus: experience running headless browser infrastructure at scale (fleet management, sandboxing, resource isolation)
  • Bonus: experience shipping AI or agent‑facing platform primitives (MCP servers, tool‑calling, orchestration)
  • Bonus: familiarity with Cloudflare Workers platform (Workers, Durable Objects, Workflows, R2, D1)
  • Bonus: experience turning an internal tool into a billed external product with metering and pricing
  • Bonus: experience managing a distributed team across time zones
  • Bonus: open‑source maintainership or a public body of technical writing
