About the role
The Senior Guidance Software Engineer will lead the design of guidance software for a clean‑sheet airframe within the R&D team, implementing navigation algorithms, supporting airframe design and flight‑hardware integration, and collaborating across product families in the Engineering organization.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years professional object‑oriented software development experience
- Design and implementation experience of guidance algorithms for UAS platforms using commercial autopilot frameworks such as ArduPilot
- Practical understanding of fixed‑wing and rotary‑wing flight dynamics
- Extensive experience developing software for microcontroller architectures (e.g., STM32) and Linux on Nvidia Jetson, AMD/Xilinx SoC or Microblaze
- Experience developing real‑time embedded software including hardware interfaces
- Experience integrating vendor‑provided low‑level drivers and firmware
- Experience with Agile processes including Scrum, CI, and Test‑Driven Development
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams
- U.S. Person status required to access U.S.-only data systems
- Current or previous DoD security clearance (preferred)
- Part 107 remote pilot certification (preferred)
- Experience with EO/IR sensor integration (preferred)
- Experience with radar sensor integration (preferred)
- Firmware development using VHDL and embedded flow on AMD/Xilinx FPGAs (preferred)
- Proficiency with git (preferred)
- Production‑level software development and deployment experience including DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD using modern FOSS/COTS tools (preferred)
- Full‑lifecycle software development of high‑TRL systems (preferred)
- HW/SW I&T and verification & validation of high‑TRL systems (preferred)
