About the role

The Databricks Data Analyst joins Guidehouse’s AI & Data team to design and maintain analytical datasets, build dashboards and reports, perform data validation, and collaborate with engineers, scientists, architects and client stakeholders to deliver secure, well‑documented data solutions for consulting projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related field
  • 3–10 years experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or analytical solution delivery
  • Strong SQL skills for querying, transformation, analysis, and reporting
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis or automation
  • Experience with Databricks or similar cloud‑native analytics platforms
  • Experience with BI tools such as Databricks AI/BI Dashboards, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, data quality validation, and analytical dataset development
  • Ability to analyze data, communicate insights, and work in team‑based delivery environments
  • Experience creating documentation for analytic and reporting solutions (data sources, business logic, metrics, assumptions)
  • Experience using Unity Catalog for governed data discovery, access controls, lineage, and secure data management
  • Familiarity with medallion architecture concepts for curated analytical data delivery
  • Active Databricks Data Analyst Associate certification or related
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience in project‑based or consulting delivery environments
  • Preference for candidates located near Guidehouse offices in Arlington, VA; Washington, DC; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; or Boulder, CO
