Data Engineer

About the role

Junior Data Engineer role on a growing data team, responsible for building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, designing data warehouses/lakes, writing SQL, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with analysts, scientists, and engineers using cloud and big‑data technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Strong knowledge of Python.
• Basic understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, Databricks, or Snowflake (a plus).
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git (preferred).
• Understanding of data modeling and database design (preferred).
• Relevant certifications are an added advantage (preferred).
• 1+ years of work experience with SQL.
• 1+ years of work experience with Python.
