About the role

The Data/Analytics Engineer will own and evolve Arbor’s data infrastructure, from ingestion pipelines (Fivetran and custom GCP pipelines) into Snowflake through the dbt transformation layer, partner with engineering, operations and leadership to deliver analytics, build Hex dashboards for stakeholders, define data contracts and schema standards, and drive AI‑enhanced data workflows.

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, preferably at a high‑growth startup or in a complex real‑time data domain
  • Strong dbt fundamentals with ability to design maintainable models, testing and documentation
  • Proficient SQL; Python for pipeline development or data‑quality tooling is a plus
  • Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, including schema design, query performance optimization and cost/performance trade‑offs
  • Familiarity with GCP data services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub) is a plus
  • Experience building dashboards for business stakeholders using Hex, Looker or similar tools
  • Interest or curiosity in energy markets, electricity pricing and regulated industries (not required)
  • Proactive use of AI tools to accelerate development (AI‑native productivity)
