About the role

The Data Analyst role on Modern Health’s Analytics team is a remote, mid‑level position focused on owning client‑facing reporting, building and maintaining the data foundation, supporting clinical analytics workstreams, and partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver data‑driven insights.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in healthcare, health tech, or a clinical setting
  • Proficient in SQL and Python or R, dbt, statistical data analysis, and data visualization
  • High EQ and strong interpersonal/relationship‑building skills; comfortable interfacing with internal leadership
  • Experience with BI tooling (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Omni, or similar)
  • Genuine curiosity about clinical data and health outcomes
  • Ability to work with messy, ambiguous data and clearly communicate limitations and assumptions
  • Ability to drive execution, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving; willing to roll up sleeves
  • Solution‑oriented with strong ownership and drive
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to present analyses concisely to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Proven success partnering with and explaining data concepts to non‑technical team members at varying seniority
  • Passionate about the mental health space
  • Humble, scrappy, highly motivated; thrives in fast‑paced environments
  • Must have work authorization for the duration of employment; no immigration sponsorship available
  • Preferred: Master's degree in health or analytical related field
  • Preferred: Experience in a digital health setting
  • Preferred: Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks such as Knox Keene or HIPAA
  • Preferred: High‑growth startup experience
  • Preferred: Experience developing external‑facing client reporting
