The role leads end‑to‑end public‑sector and commercial contracting, handling solicitation review, drafting and negotiation, and coordinating security‑and‑compliance reviews (FedRAMP, agency questionnaires). It partners with pursuit, deployment, product and security teams to turn complex government requirements into workable agreements, with growth potential toward senior legal leadership.

Requirements

  • JD and active membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
  • 5+ years of legal practice with substantive government contracts experience across federal and/or state‑local procurement, either in‑house or at a firm
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP and government security reviews plus data‑protection and privacy; experience with StateRAMP, CMMC or similar is a plus
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements with government and enterprise counterparties and secure workable terms
  • Desire to deepen government‑contracts expertise and progress toward senior legal leadership
  • Pragmatic, business‑minded advice style that enables fast execution without undue risk
  • Bonus: experience in GovTech, fintech or public‑benefits/payments; familiarity with utilities or other regulated industries
